📖 Story

Set in suburban Paris in 1985, Just an Illusion follows Vincent, a boy standing at the edge of adolescence while his family deals with its own tensions and questions. No longer fully a child and not yet an adult, he watches his older brother, tries to understand his parents, and begins to make sense of friendship, belonging, religion, and first feelings of attraction. The film plays as a warm French coming-of-age story, mixing gentle comedy, family nostalgia, and the confusion of growing up.
