In 1977 Indianapolis, a financial dispute turns into a hostage crisis that forces an entire city to watch. Dead Man’s Wire follows Tony Kiritsis, a man convinced that he has been cheated out of everything he built, as he takes the heir to a mortgage company hostage and turns his demands into a public spectacle of anger, humiliation, and media attention. The film does not treat the incident as a loud crime story only; it frames it as a collision between a broken man, financial power, and a press culture drawn to the bizarre.
